Are You Leaving Money on Your Thank-You Page Table?
Your list signup thank-you page is one of the most-read page on your website. Because the person has just handed you his valuable emails address and now wants to see how, where, and when he is going to receive what you have promised.
So if you are not making the most of your thank-you pages, you are seriously leaving a lot of money on the table.
So how can you use his attention the best as possible to make more profits?
Here are 3 powerful ideas...
Emphasize They Need to Verify their Email
This is one of the biggest mistakes I see people make on their websites.
If your list is double opt-in, then you know that people must confirm their subscription to be added to your list.
So now after all the efforts you have made to convince that person to give you his email address, are you really going to eaily lose that subscriber by not letting him know about this verification process?
You and I are marketers so we know about this opt-in process, but your target market may not necessary be as familiar as we are with the double opt-in process.
Promote One of Your Related Products
That person has trusted you enough to give you his email address, and now you have his attetion. So why not offer him a related product of yours that he might be interetsed in while he is there?
Here you can see a sample of how to promote your product in one of my website thank you pages.
I tested putting a short description of the product as a teaser (2-3 paragraphs) in the thank you page and then I tested including the entire sales letter.
The response for including the whole sales letter was higher - as I expected.
I guess it's because when you take the hassle of one click from this process, you will get more repsonse of course.
After all, remember that people are lazy. :-)
Include Your Website Naviogation Links
This person has just subscribed to your list, but it doesn't mean he is done with browsing your website.
I see many people making the mistake of removing the navigation links from their thank-you page, assuming everything done now.
But why make them leave your site when they still want to stay?
Doesn't make sense, does it?
So make sure you include the navigation links in your thank-you page too.
To your thank-you page profits,
