A Quick Technique to Increase Your Double Opt-In Confirmation Rate

When you use the double opt-in model for your list, you know that people will need to confirm their subscription or they won't be added to your list. If they don't, it will be like they haven't signed up in the first place.

So every single person that doesn't take this step is like losing one subscriber that could be added to your list.

That's why it's important that we do our best to make sure the most number of people DO verify their emails.

But how?

It's simple: simply ask!

Yes, on your thank-you page, explain it clearly that their subscription is NOT completed yet and then ask them to check their email now and confirm their subscription to receive their requested information.

This simply will work wonders with your confirmation rate. Just try it and you will see.

Forgetting to emphasize this is one of the biggest mistakes I see people make on their websites.

You and I are marketers so we know about this opt-in process, but your target market may not necessary be as familiar as we are with the double opt-in process.

That is why I always put this reminded in a yellow box with red borders on my thank-you page to make sure they see it and understand the importance of it.

Also I have came up with a new idea on how to get a higher confirmation rate to convert more leads to confirmed subscribers.

It's simply adding a short video clip of yourself on your thank-you page explaining them the importance of verifying their email address to complete their subscription.

Also make sure you again mention the powerful benefits of your free gift, newsletter, mini course, or whatever they have subscribed for, so they will get excited again and will happily take the extra effort.
